Empowering Dreams Through Education

At Moorings Park, our employees—affectionately known as partners—make a profound difference in the lives of our residents every single day. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we can invest in innovative ways to support and uplift the very people who care for our community with dedication and heart.

For many of our partners and their families, pursuing higher education is more than a goal—it’s a dream. And through the Moorings Park Foundation Scholarship Program, our residents have the incredible opportunity to turn that dream into reality.

This scholarship program is thoughtfully overseen by our Scholarship Committee, made up of residents from all three campuses. Their commitment ensures that each application is carefully reviewed, and that scholarships are awarded to those most deserving.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from:

  • Full-time and part-time members of the Moorings Park community, as well as their spouses and dependents
  • Employees assigned to Moorings Park by All Covered, Unidine, NCH, and Avanza
  • Those who have completed at least one year of employment
  • Students with a minimum GPA of 2.5 attending an accredited educational institution, including universities, community colleges, trade schools, vocational programs, and more
  • Please note: On-call partners are not eligible for this scholarship

Together, We Make a Difference

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our residents for investing in the education and future of our partners and their families. Your generosity is life-changing. If you would like to contribute and help more dreams come true, please click here to donate.

Each year, your Foundation matches state funding for eligible Moorings Park employees who need assistance with child care expenses.

Through the School Readiness Program, administered by the Early Learning Coalition of SW Florida, childcare is provided through private, early childhood programs, family child care homes and school-based sites operated by public schools. This helps parents have access to high quality programs designed to meet the individual needs of their children.

Eligibility depends on participants’ household size and income. Partners could receive help with 35-40% of their childcare costs. In Collier County, one of the highest expenses other than housing is childcare. For some of our partners, taking advantage of this benefit is the difference between having to work longer hours, keeping them away from their children.  The application process is handled through our HR department.

Following Hurricane Ian, it became apparent that our partners’ needed help when navigating challenges. Because of the generosity of residents John and Connie Rakoske, led to the funding of a new position to help partners with non-work-related needs.

In May, Social Services Coordinator, Candy Dyckman joined the team and has hit the ground running! Candy will explore internal and external resources to help address partners’ needs. To increase access to her services, she spends her time at different locations on the original campus, Grey Oaks, and Grande Lake.

Because of this transformational Rakoske gift, our partners are now empowered with information and access to resources that will increase their opportunities for success. We are very thankful for their commitment to this initiative and Moorings Park Foundation.

Candy Dyckman can be reached at 239-326-2981 (internal ext. 151) or at cdyckman@mooringspark.org.
