Through our Community Grant Program and support for special projects and emerging needs, we help local nonprofit organizations create opportunities, deliver essential services, and improve lives across our region.
Strengthen Our Community
Moorings Park Foundation provides grants to local nonprofit organizations whose work enhances the health, well-being, and quality of life of older adults. We prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact in areas such as senior services, access to healthcare, mental and behavioral health, and supportive services that promote dignity, independence, and connection.
The Foundation also invests in the future of care by supporting educational scholarships and workforce development programs that prepare and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. These investments help build a strong, compassionate, and highly skilled workforce equipped to meet the evolving needs of older adults.
In 2026, our resident-led grant committee and Foundation Board awarded 39 grants, totaling $1 million, in support for local nonprofit organizations. Each grant reflects a shared commitment to strengthening our community and helping older adults live healthier, more connected, and fulfilling lives.

Grant Application Criteria
Organizations seeking funding from Moorings Park Foundation should meet the following criteria:
Organizational Eligibility
- Be recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in good standing
- Serve Collier County or the broader Southwest Florida region
- Demonstrate strong leadership, sound financial management, and organizational stability
Program Alignment
Proposed programs should directly enhance the health, well-being, or quality of life of older adults. Priority will be given to initiatives focused on:
- Senior services and supportive care
- Access to healthcare
- Mental and behavioral health
- Programs that promote dignity, independence, and meaningful connection
- Educational scholarships for individuals pursuing careers in healthcare
- Workforce development and training programs that strengthen the future healthcare workforce, particularly in fields serving older adults
Impact and Feasibility
- Address a clearly identified need
- Establish specific, measurable outcomes
- Present a realistic plan and budget
- Demonstrate the organization’s capacity to implement the proposed program successfully
Supporting Behavioral Health in Collier County
Through the generosity of Moorings Park residents, Moorings Park Foundation awarded $750,000 to David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), Collier County’s only comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider, to advance its Hope for Collier initiative.
Guided by DLS’s commitment to serving the most vulnerable members of our community, the Moorings Park Foundation Board unanimously selected DLC as the beneficiary of 2024’s Senior Peak Challenge—an annual fundraising effort that brings residents together in support of an important philanthropic initiative. Their generosity reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to behavioral healthcare, addressing one of our region’s most pressing challenges, and ensuring that individuals in crisis receive the care they need.
The funding will support the development of a dedicated 15-bed wing for older adults within the new Collier County Behavioral Health Center, expected to open in late 2026.
The Moorings Park Foundation Wing will provide specialized care for older adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis, including 24-hour walk-in emergency services, real-time assessments, and immediate intervention by highly trained professionals. Through this investment, older adults in our community will have greater access to compassionate, timely, and potentially life-saving care when they need it most.
The Renaissance Apartments: Housing for Collier County’s Workforce
The Renaissance Apartments are now open in Naples, providing high-quality, attainable housing for members of Collier County’s workforce, including healthcare professionals, teachers, first responders, and other essential workers who want to live closer to where they work.
Created in response to Collier County’s growing need for workforce housing, the development was made possible through a collaboration among Collier County, nonprofit developer Rural Neighborhoods, Moorings Park Foundation, Moorings Park Communities, the Collier Community Foundation, and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation. Together, these partners provided $10 million in philanthropic support for the project’s planning and development.
Monthly rents range from approximately $1,600 to more than $2,500, depending on unit size. Although The Renaissance Apartments are not traditional low-income housing, income limits help ensure the apartments serve middle-income earners who may not qualify for subsidized housing yet struggle to afford market-rate rents in Collier County.
A second phase is planned to add 100 apartments specifically for older adults and veterans, furthering the shared commitment to creating attainable housing for those who serve—and have served—our community.
